At Bermuda HealthCare Services and Brown-Darrell Clinic, our commitment to community support is at the heart of what we do.
We believe in giving back, uplifting our youth, and helping to create pathways for educational and athletic success. As part of this mission, we proudly support the Pembroke Hamilton Club and its youth programme, fostering development both on and off the field.
We also invest in Bermuda’s future health professionals through The Brown Family Health Scholarship, awarded to a Bermudian undergraduate or postgraduate student pursuing studies in Health Sciences, Dentistry, Nursing, or Medicine at Howard University.
These initiatives form an important part of our Community Support Programme—reflecting our dedication to strengthening our community, empowering young people, and encouraging excellence in athletic and academic achievement.
“Docs for Dinner reflects our continued commitment to advancing healthcare in Bermuda through meaningful collaboration, education, and the exchange of global best practices. Bringing together local clinicians, international leaders, and key stakeholders in a forum like this strengthens not only professional relationships, but ultimately the quality of care available to our community.”
- Dr. Ewart F. Brown, Founder and Executive Chairman, Bermuda HealthCare Services
January 23, 2026 — Docs for Dinner, the quarterly professional engagement event, achieved full capacity attendance and strong online engagement during its most recent instalment, with live coverage broadcast on the TNN Facebook page.
The fully subscribed event brought together Bermuda’s medical community alongside visiting international healthcare leaders for an evening of professional exchange, collaboration, and continuing medical education. The programme featured an expert presentation by Dr Zoher Ghogawala, internationally recognised neurosurgeon and Chair of Neurosurgery at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, and Professor of Neurosurgery at UMass Chan Medical School. His presentation, “The Future of Comprehensive Spinal Care,” explored emerging trends in multidisciplinary spinal care, advances in minimally invasive techniques, and the role of innovation in improving patient outcomes.
Adding to the evening’s significance was the attendance of several distinguished healthcare leaders, including Dr Susan Moffat-Bruce, President of Lahey Hospital & Medical Center; Dr Dinamarie Garcia-Banigan, Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMass Chan–Lahey; and Scott Pearman, Chief Executive Officer and President of the Bermuda Hospitals Board. Their presence underscored the importance of strengthening dialogue and collaboration between Bermuda’s healthcare sector and international medical institutions.
Commenting on the success of the event, Dr Ewart Brown, Founder and Chairman of Bermuda HealthCare Services, said:
